Beste medemensen,
Onze boekhandel bevindt zich in het hart van het grootste en oudste aaneengesloten
gebouwencomplex in het centrum van Bad Münstereifel.
Dit omvat de voormalige brouwerij links, onze boekhandel, de huizen in de Marktstraße tot
aan Esprit en de gebouwen en binnenplaatsen daarachter.
De overstroming op 14 juli 2021 veroorzaakte grote schade aan de 500 jaar oude gebouwen,
Schade, die nu pas
geleidelijk zichtbaar is geworden en nog steeds zichtbaar wordt.
Tot nu toe hebben onze verhuurders al talrijke plannen laten ontwikkelen voor het hele
complex.
Dit is een zeer uitdagende taak voor alle betrokkenen, waarbij onder andere rekening moet
worden gehouden met statica, monumenten, brand- en overstromingsbescherming.
Volgens de huidige plannen zal onze boekwinkel het eerste deel van het hele complex zijn
dat in april 2024 weer open gaat.
We gaan door deze zeer uitdagende tijd van verandering en wederopbouw met grote
dankbaarheid en nederigheid door alle steun van veel mensen.
Deze kregen wij door middel van donaties, bestellingen of persoonlijke ontmoetingen.

Dear readers
Our bookshop is located in the heart of the largest and oldest connected building complex in the centre of Bad Münstereifel. This includes the former brewery on the left-hand side, our bookshop, the houses in Marktstraße up to Esprit and the buildings and courtyards behind them. The flood on 14.07.2021 caused extensive damage to the 500-year-old walls, which has only gradually become visible.
To date, our landlords have had numerous rebuilding plans developed for the entire complex. Due to the special consideration of statics, monument-, fire- and flood protection this is a very challenging task for everyone involved. The current planning envisages that our bookshop will be the first part of the entire complex to reopen by April 2024.
We are going through this very challenging time of change and reconstruction with great gratitude and humility for the support of many people, be it through donations, book orders or personal, uplifting encounters.

Notre librairie se situe au coeur de l’ensemble de bâtiments les plus âgés et les plus
grands de la ville de Bad Münstereifel. Font partie de cet ensemble une ancienne
brasserie ainsi que notre maison et la plupart des maisons du côté gauche de la rue du
marché avec leurs constructions cachées et cours intérieures.
Les dégâts fondamentaux dans ces bâtiments âgés de plus de 500 ans, causés par
l“inondation catastrophique du 14 juillet 2021, constituent à présent le défi le plus dur
pour tous les paticipants, surtout eu égard aux normes de la statique, des mesures de
sécurité incendie et de la protection des monuments et contre les hautes eaux. De
nombreux planifications adressant les multiples tâches de réconstruction ont été
développés par les propriétaires. Selon les plans notre librairie est prévue comme la
première partie de cet ensemble de bâtiments dont la réconstruction sera finie au mois
d’avril 2024.
Avec beaucoup de gratitude et d’humilité j’ai apprécié le support humain soit par les
commandes, les dons et les belles rencontres personnelles qui m’ont aidé à surmonter
cette période difficile de changement et de réconstruction.

Cari lettori,
la nostra libreria si trova nel cuore del più grande e antico complesso edilizio nel centro di Bad Münstereifel: l’ex birrificio sulla sinistra, la nostra libreria, le case sulla Marktstrasse fino all’Esprit e gli edifici e i cortili dietro di loro. Gradualmente sono diventati visibili i profondi danni causati dall’alluvione del 14 luglio 2021 agli edifici, che hanno più di 500 anni.
Fino ad oggi i nostri proprietari hanno fatto sviluppare numerosi progetti per l’intero complesso. Un compito molto impegnativo per tutti i soggetti coinvolti, tra l’altro a causa della particolare considerazione alla statica, alla protezione dei monumenti, alla protezione antincendio e dalle inondazioni. Il piano attuale è che la nostra libreria sarà la prima parte dell’intero complesso ad essere riaperta entro aprile 2024.
Siamo attraversando questo momento molto impegnativo di cambiamento e ricostruzione con grande gratitudine, perché il sostegno di molte persone, era meraviglioso, sia per donazioni, per ordini o per buoni incontri personali.
